On behalf of JTDBA, Thank You to everyone who has given your support, and especially to those who have given to our legal fund. Because of your help, we were able to hire an experienced attorney at a very reasonable rate. Our lawsuit was filed on July 8, and is focused on our view that the Dollar General store is inconsistent with our Community Plan, and that an Environmental Impact Report needs to be prepared to address negative impacts the project will have on the neighborhood and traffic. We will post a link to the filing and case schedule soon.
Including the attorney’s fees and all other costs for the litigation, we have a fundraising goal of $25,000. As of today (July 22) we have raised nearly $7,000, leaving about $18,000 to go to reach our goal.
